Res Life Aggieland Saturday Spring 2024 Summary Report | Texas A&M University hosted Aggieland Saturday on February 10, 2024. Aggieland Saturday is an annual campus-wide event aimed at recruiting prospective students to Texas A&M University. This open house event offers prospective students and their families the opportunity to explore Texas A&M University’s campus and everything Texas A&M has to offer, including information on academics, admissions, financial aid and scholarships, student organizations, and on-campus housing. The Department of Residence Life participated in Aggieland Saturday by providing tours of Residence Life facilities and information about Residence Life offerings. This survey was created to assess the experiences of Department of Residence Life staff, including student, graduate, and full-time staff, who worked at the event. Health Promotion Alcohol Education Workshop Outcomes 2022-2023 | Students who receive a sanction to attend the Alcohol Education Workshop (AEW) are required to meet with a Health Promotion (HP) staff member prior to their workshop, attend the workshop, then come back for a follow-up meeting with the HP staff member approximately two weeks after participating in the workshop. Health Promotion wanted to assess whether the students attending AEW met the learning outcomes. Student Research Week - Spring 2023 | Student Research Week (SRW) is a four-day competition coordinated by the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG). Students can share their research conducted at Texas A&M either through oral presentations or poster sessions. This year, Student Research Week was held March 20-24, 2023. The Graduate and Professional Student Government wanted to assess the experiences of the competitors, judges, and volunteers regarding their participation in Student Research Week 2023. Student Organization Services Survey | Student Life Studies assisted the Department of Student Activities Student Organization Finance Center (SOFC) and the Student Organization Development Administration (SODA) in assessing Texas A&M University student organizations’ student leaders’ and student advisors’ experiences interfacing with their organizations. In spring 2021, a survey was sent to both student leaders and advisors to provide SOFC and SODA feedback regarding the quality of their services and offered resources. Health Promotion Hullabaloo U - My Aggie Wellness Journey Assessment 2023 | Student Life Health Promotion (HP) staff offered 2023 Hullabaloo U instructors a series of 40-minute lessons to facilitate as part of the Hullabaloo U curriculum during their fall 2023 courses. The first lesson, My Aggie Wellness Journey, was intended to be delivered in the early weeks of the semester between August 24, 2023, and September 30, 2023. Students participating in the lesson were offered an open link or a QR code to access a survey at the end of the lesson, which assessed whether the students met the learning outcomes and whether they were receptive to and participated in lesson activities. SAPAR - Division Staff Assessment Needs and Training | Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) conducts a survey every three years to understand division staff members’ experiences and needs related to assessment. Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research staff use this information to develop resources and training programs for the Division of Student Affairs and adjust their assessment services to meet staff members’ needs. Student Leader Inclusive Learning Outcomes 2021-2022 | Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) and staff from the Department of Student Activities met with student leaders from multiple sponsored and affiliated Texas A&M University student organizations to gain input in developing student leader learning outcomes. These outcomes associated with the Texas A&M University undergraduate learning outcomes practice personal and social responsibility and demonstrate social, cultural and global competence. Then related learning outcomes were conceived and written in conjunction with student leaders to more closely relate to their experiences as a student leader within their organizations. Client Follow-Up Meeting Feedback | Starting in the summer of 2020, Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) staff members began scheduling meetings with clients several weeks after assessment projects were completed. The purpose of these follow-up meetings was to find out what information from the report stood out to clients, how clients might use or share the results, or if there was any additional analysis Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research could provide. The department wanted to gather feedback from clients to know if these short follow-up meetings were beneficial or if the department could do something to make them more helpful.
