Parent/Guardian Satisfaction Survey - Spring 2020 | The Becky Gates Children’s Center (BGCC or the Center) conducts annual assessments of the parents/guardians of the children who attend the Center to evaluate and continue to provide high-quality services for those children and their parents/guardians. The assessment focuses on parents/guardians’ overall satisfaction, their experience with their child’s teacher and classroom, as well as the management of the Center. Additionally this year, the survey included some questions related to the online learning opportunities provided by the Center this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Agricultural and Life Sciences Awareness & Satisfaction Assessment | Staff in the Career Center specifically working in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (AGLS) wanted to know students’ level of awareness of their services and level of satisfaction with those services. They wanted to understand students’ perceptions of their office and to address any gaps or perceived gaps in their services. Website Review-Student Focus Groups | Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) completely revamped their website, first showcasing in the fall of 2019. Early spring 2020 a series of student focus groups were held to understand student use and obtain their feedback regarding changes and improvements that were needed to further update the website to better meet students' needs. Website Review Student Focus Groups Spring 2020 | A team from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) redesigned the CAPS website, which became live to viewers near the beginning of the fall 2019 semester. That team contacted Student Life Studies during the fall semester to help them assess the student user experience of the updated website, specifically to gain student feedback to inform website enhancements and maintenance. Three focus groups of students were conducted early in the spring semester. The primary goal of the assessment was to get feedback regarding whether the layout and organization of the CAPS website were easily navigated by student audience(s) - primarily students seeking counseling services, and was the information about services clear and easily found by students visiting the site. CAPS also wanted to know if the look and information provided on the website was welcoming for a wide range of students, including those who may be hesitant about seeking services. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Needs and Awareness - 2022 | Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) wanted to understand the level of awareness faculty, staff, and students have of the department’s services as well as their knowledge of suicide prevention training and My Student Support Program (My SSP) @ TAMU. Additionally, the department wanted to learn what services students thought were beneficial and discover any reservations students had about going to CAPS. Furthermore, CAPS wanted to know the comfort level faculty and staff had in referring students to the department. Counseling and Psychological Services Suicide Prevention Training - Jan 2021-Aug 2022 | Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides suicide awareness and prevention training workshops for students, faculty, and staff. CAPS wanted to know if participants were learning the information covered during the training and their comfort level in talking about suicide to others. Additionally, CAPS wanted to understand what participants thought about the training and how to improve it in the future. Business Relationship Management Model Survey 2021 | Division of Student Affairs (DSA) department directors and staff who are members of the DSA Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Liaison committee during the 2020-2021 academic year were surveyed for feedback regarding their relationship with DoIT services, as defined by four core discipline components of the Business Relationship Management (BRM) model. This is the first time Student Life Studies helped DoIT assess departmental feedback regarding progress towards an optimum relationship with each DSA departments using the BRM model. MSC FLI Costa Rica Service Trip - Spring 2020 | The Memorial Student Center (MSC) Freshmen Leadership International (FLI) coordinates one major international travel experience for its members each year over spring break. MSC FLI went to Costa Rica again this year from March 7-13, 2020 for this international travel experience. MSC FLI indicated the following outcomes for participants: • Participants demonstrate a willingness to step out of their comfort zone to try something new. Trip participants were assessed at different points during the experience to gauge how well the outcomes were met and the overall impact of this experience.
