ATC T-Camp 2023 Counselor/Teamer/Cochair & Camper Surveys | The purpose of this assessment was to understand the experiences of students who participated in T-Camp, sponsored by Aggie Transition Camps (ATC). T-Camp is an extended (three-day) optional orientation camp for students who are transferring to Texas A&M University. There was one session held from August 9th through August 11th. A few weeks into the semester, survey evaluations were sent to co-chairs, counselors, and teamers, and another survey was sent to participants (campers) to assess their camp experiences. Health Promotions - Sex in the Dark Workshop 2021-2022 | The Sex in the Dark workshop, conducted by Health Promotion (HP), is designed to increase students’ knowledge of their sexual health. Learning outcomes developed for Sex in the Dark workshop include: • Participants will report increased knowledge of healthy sexual behaviors. Surveys were developed to measure participants’ learning, as well as gauge participants’ overall impression of the program and perceptions of the facilitators of the program. Student Conduct Conferences 2021-2022 | The Student Conduct Office (SCO) wanted to assess students’ experience with and the learning from their conduct conferences to continue to improve how their office works with students in the future. The Student Conduct Office previously used a national survey to assess students’ experience, but the questions did not focus on the priorities identified by the unit. Ethics and Decision Making Workshop Evaluation 2020-2021 | The Student Conduct Office (SCO) within the Offices of the Dean of Student Life wanted to assess the learning and overall experiences of students attending the Ethics and Decision Making (EDM) Workshop. The survey intended to assess whether students could identify and list influences on their values and decisions, and understand strategies for making decisions. The survey also requested participants’ feedback about the effectiveness of the facilitators. The SERU/Your Voice survey is a comprehensive survey of all graduate and professional students at Texas A&M University (TAMU) intended to give faculty, students, and administration in-depth insights into the student experience. SGA - University President Search Feedback | The Student Government Association (SGA) wanted to gather feedback from the Texas A&M University student body and student organization leaders to understand what students would like to see in the next university president. The survey focused on the importance of the new president demonstrating Texas A&M University’s Core Values, top issues for a new president to address, and characteristics students would like to see in the new president. SGA worked with campus partners in developing survey questions and worked with Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research to administer the survey. Student Senate Academic Advising Survey Fall 2021 | The Student Senate wanted to collect input from the Texas A&M University non first time in college sophomores, juniors and seniors regarding their experiences with academic advising while at Texas A&M University. The Student Senate in conjunction with University Advisors and Counselors (UAC) and the Office for Student Success developed survey questions and contacted Student Life Studies to assist in survey editing, distribution, analysis and report of the survey results. Sully Statue Survey Spring 2020 - Student Senate/SGA | The Student Senate wanted to collect input from the Texas A&M University student body regarding the statue of Lawrence Sullivan (Sul) Ross that is located in the Academic Plaza and options surrounding its future presence on campus.
