MSC Department-Wide 2021 Summative Assessment | The outgoing Executive Vice President of Business, and newly elected Memorial Student Center (MSC) President reached out to Student Life Studies for feedback on survey questions in spring 2021. Because of that conversation, Student Life Studies continued to support the MSC Executive Team as it gathered feedback on how the MSC organization can continue to support its members and grow toward fulfilling its mission/vision. These findings are each tied to the mission priorities of the department. ATC T Camp 2020 | The purpose of this assessment was to understand the experience of students who participated in T Camp. T Camp, sponsored by Aggie Transition Camps (ATC), is an extended (three-day) optional orientation camp for students who previously attended another institution and are transferring to Texas A&M University. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, this fall two sessions of T Camp were held virtually; session one was held August 3 through August 5, and session two was held August 7 through August 9. One survey was sent to co-chairs, counselors, and teamers a few weeks into the semester, and T Camp participants (campers) were sent a different survey to measure their camp experience. T-Camp 2022 | The purpose of this assessment was to understand the experiences of students who participated in T-Camp, sponsored by Aggie Transition Camps (ATC). Health Promotions - Sex in the Dark Workshop 2021-2022 | The Sex in the Dark workshop, conducted by Health Promotion (HP), is designed to increase students’ knowledge of their sexual health. Learning outcomes developed for Sex in the Dark workshop include: • Participants will report increased knowledge of healthy sexual behaviors. Surveys were developed to measure participants’ learning, as well as gauge participants’ overall impression of the program and perceptions of the facilitators of the program. Student Conduct Conferences 2021-2022 | The Student Conduct Office (SCO) wanted to assess students’ experience with and the learning from their conduct conferences to continue to improve how their office works with students in the future. The Student Conduct Office previously used a national survey to assess students’ experience, but the questions did not focus on the priorities identified by the unit. Ethics and Decision Making Workshop Evaluation 2020-2021 | The Student Conduct Office (SCO) within the Offices of the Dean of Student Life wanted to assess the learning and overall experiences of students attending the Ethics and Decision Making (EDM) Workshop. The survey intended to assess whether students could identify and list influences on their values and decisions, and understand strategies for making decisions. The survey also requested participants’ feedback about the effectiveness of the facilitators. The SERU/Your Voice survey is a comprehensive survey of all graduate and professional students at Texas A&M University (TAMU) intended to give faculty, students, and administration in-depth insights into the student experience.
