Aggie Transition Camp (ATC) sponsored two sessions of T-Camp, held August 5 -7 and August 9 - 11, 2019. ATC assessed the experience of co-chairs, counselors, teamers and campers who attend T-Camp through surveys sent after returning from camp. The report summarizes the results of those surveys.
Student Life Studies assisted the Department of Student Activities in measuring the Texas A&M Class of 2020 cohort students’ connection, engagement, involvement and leading through their use of MaroonLink. The report summarizes analysis of various MaroonLink user data of the Texas A&M Class of 2020 cohort (defined as those first time, full-time students incoming with less than 30 credit hours) from fall 2016 through spring 2019.
Health Promotion (HP) staff offer a variety of presentations for classrooms, student organizations and residence halls on health-related topics to promote healthy lifestyles, health maintenance, disease/injury prevention and interpersonal violence protection for Texas A&M University students and the campus community. After each presentation, participants were surveyed to ascertain their satisfaction with each presentation, whether the topics presented are relevant to them, and to gain insight into future improvements needed. The following report summarizes those survey results for presentations held during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Health Promotions within the Offices of the Dean of Student Life (ODSL) and the University Police Department (UPD) collaborate to facilitate the interpersonal violence prevention workshop UPD Women’s Self Defense. The workshops are open to women on-campus and it was offered seven times during the fall and spring semesters 2018-2019. A paper survey was distributed at the end of each workshop to assess the participants’ experience and efficacy in learning the self-defense tactics observed and practiced in the workshop. The following report summarizes the aggregate results from the responses to the survey.
Green Dot Bystander Intervention Training is an international movement built on the premise that individuals can systematically and measurably reduce the levels of power-based personal violence found in their community. Students, staff and faculty who participated in the Green Dot Bystander Intervention training classes at Texas A&M University are surveyed to assess the program and how it affected their understanding these related concepts. The follow report summarizes the response results of the evaluations provided to Green Dot Training participants during the 2018-2019 academic year.
The STAND Up workshops provide educational support for the STAND Up campaign on the Texas A&M University campus inviting Aggies to Step In and Stand Up against sexual harassment and sexual violence. Two separate workshops are offered; one developed for student attendees, the other for faculty and staff. Surveys are distributed at the end of the workshops to measure learning and satisfaction of participants attending each workshop. The purpose of the Spring Leadership Exchange is to allow Texas A&M students from the Qatar and College Station campuses to share diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences with one another while learning together about leadership in a global society. The assessment was to determine the effectiveness in reaching this purpose.
To assess the session participants to understand the effectiveness of the workshops and the intended learning outcomes for each workshop. For the 2016-2017 academic year, eight
workshops were held covering the following topics: using assessment tools; Qualtrics training (presented each semester); documenting student learning; practical statistics; sharing assessment results; using assessment results; and connecting plans.
This study describes the demographic characteristics of student leaders (chief leader and treasurer) in recognized student organizations over a six year period. The demographic categories included sex, race/ethnicity, first generation status, classification, academic college, and average GPR. The analysis also provided the information by level or organization: Sponsored, Registered, and Affiliated.
The report details the results of a customer satisfaction survey sent to customers who contacted the help (service) desk of the Department of Information Technology within the Division of Student Affairs in the 2016-2017 academic year. Intent was to measure the satisfaction level of customers of the help desk regarding their interactions with both student techs who work the Service Desk, and full time, professional staff who assist with troubleshooting and problem solving of issues brought through the help (service) desk.
