2020 Howdy Week Coordinators Assessment | Howdy Week, a series of events held just before the fall semester to welcome primarily new students to campus, is coordinated by New Student and Family Programs (NSFP) in the Offices of the Dean of Student Life. Howdy Week 2020 were a combination of virtual events, hybrid virtual and in-person events. Coordinators of the events were surveyed for their feedback regarding various components of their experience and attendance at the programs they sponsored during the week. 2022 The Big Event Community & Participant Surveys | Two surveys were created to understand how students were impacted by participating in The Big Event (TBE), and how members of the Bryan/College Station community reacted to their experience with The Big Event during Spring 2022. The feedback collected was from both the community members who registered for a job and the student participants who registered. This report covers the responses from both groups. 2023 De-Stress Fest Summary Report | Recreational Sports (Rec Sports) partnered with various offices across campus to host De-Stress Fest. This program was held on March 23, 2023, and the program was designed to teach participants the importance of self-care, participate in activities to lower stress, and learn about campus resources. Participants were assessed at the event after engaging in the activities to gauge what students learned about self-care and the resources that were present at the event. 2023 DMS LEAD Evaluation | Multicultural Services and student leaders from the Asian President’s Council contacted Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research to assist in developing an assessment for the 2023 Leadership Education for Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) Development (LEAD) Conference. This year’s conference was held on April 15, 2023, and the theme of LEAD was Reflecting on our Past, Changing for our Future. The conference was open to students, staff, and faculty from Texas A&M University and from other educational institutions. 2023 Grad Camp Assessment | Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) sponsored one virtual session and two in-person sessions of Grad Camp held on August 15th (virtual), August 17th, and August 19th. GPSG has worked with Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) since 2009 to assess the experiences of counselors and the campers who attend Grad Camp. Aggie Pregnant and Parenting Student Organization Student Needs Focus Groups | The Aggie Pregnant and Parenting student organization, in conjunction with the Texas A&M University Women’s Resource Center (WRC) contacted Student Life Studies to assist in assessing the needs of pregnant and parenting students on the Texas A&M College Station campus. Early in the spring 2020 semester, all students on the College Station campus were surveyed about their parenting status, as well as interest in participating in subsequent focus groups. The purpose of these focus groups was to inquire about the experiences and needs of Aggies who are parents, or becoming parents while attending the university. Aggie Wellbeing Assessment - Faculty Relationship and Future Academic Risk | The Wellbeing Improvement Survey for Higher Education Settings (WISHES) has been administered to the Texas A&M University student body in College Station since the 2021-2022 academic year. Texas A&M University surveyed the student body to better understand students’ overall well-being, intermediate outcomes, educational outcomes, and student experiences that influence wellbeing.
